Kindles

Thomaston Public Library is pleased to offer a variety of 12 Kindles to our patrons. These devices were generously gifted by the Friends of Thomaston Public Library and are full of a variety of reads, updated regularly.

We maintain a list of the books that are currently available on the Kindles and are always adding more. If there is a particular book you would like to read on one of these Kindles, please make a suggestion to the librarian or someone at the Circulation Desk.

In order to check out one of these devices we ask you read and sign a form stating that you understand you are fully responsible for the device while it is in your possession.

Kindles may be borrowed for the same length of time that a print book is, currently three weeks. Each Kindle renewal must be done in person.

Ancestry.com

The Maine State Library generously provides access for all libraries to Ancestry.com, an on-line genealogy resource. This website may be used without cost in every library in the state of Maine. Any of the patron computers here at Thomaston Public Library as well as anyone accessing our Wifi network may use this vast resource at no cost.

Farnsworth Art Museum Passes

Our library has four passes that can be used by patrons to visit the fabulous local Farnsworth Art Museum - featuring the works of Andrew Wyeth and his family, among others.  Passes must be checked out and patrons are responsible for the cost of a yearly membership if they are lost or stolen.
